The 2nd series of the GriefShare classes will begin March 5th, 2018. The classes will be hosted at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. GriefShare is a 13 week course, meeting weekly on Monday evenings from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. The facilitator for the class is Nanc Kautzer. GriefShare is a network of thousands of grief recovery support groups meeting around the world. GriefShare is a program with direction and purpose. With GriefShare you will learn how to walk the journey of grief and be supported on the way. It is a place where grieving people, both men and women, find healing and hope. Anyone who has experienced the death of a family member or friend is invited to attend our new series. The class is free of charge and open to the public. If interested, please call the church office at 715-886-4081 to register. If questions prior to the initiation of the class, please contact Nanc Kautzer at 715-886-5797. Please encourage anyone you know bereaved by their loss to attend this course. Please pray for this important ministry in our community as these individuals take this journey of faith.

Summer Carnival

It is that time again to begin our preparation for the carnival. Yes, we have decided to do this again this year and so I want to begin by asking for prayer and also begin
by purchasing items for prizes. Please pray:
Prayer Needs:

  • Ask the Lord to show you what you can do
  • Boldness to step out of our comfort zones
  • Financial support to pay for needed supplies
  • People to serve as leaders for areas of needs (ie. Food, setting up, tearing down, games, )
  • Ideas, ideas, ideas
  • Theme for Vacation Bible School
  • Perfect weather day for the carnival
  • Unity of heart, hands, and encouragement

Remember we are called to be fishers of men, not keepers of aquariums. We are spreading the gospel of Jesus and showing our community that we love them and care for them.

Operation Christmas Child

Although the Operation Christmas Child program through Samaritan’s Purse is still many months away, I would like to slowly start collecting items for that outreach. For the month of February, I would like to collect shoeboxes. If you have any that you would like to donate, just bring them in to the church office. Each month I will put out a request for a different item. I hope to have a packing party right before this year’s collection. Thank you for your support! If you have any questions, contact Mel Bailey. My email is melbailey08@yahoo.com or leave a message with the church office and I will get back to you.
