What’s New

Monday Evenings

6:30 – 8:00 PM

GriefShare will be hosted at Bethlehem Church in Nekoosa. This is a 13 week course, meeting weekly on Monday evenings, 6:30-8:00 p.m. The class runs Feb. 11th- April 29. The facilitator for this class is Nancy Kautzer.

GriefShare is a network of grief recovery support groups meeting around the world. This is a program with direction and purpose. With GriefShare you will learn how to walk the journey of grief and be supported on the way. It is a place where grieving people, both men and women, find healing and hope.

The class is free and open to the public, to anyone grieving the deep hurt of loss. If interested, please call the church office at 715-886-4081. If questions arise prior to initiation of the class, please contact Nancy Kautzer at 715-886-5797. Please encourage anyone you know bereaved by their loss to attend this course.

Walk for Life

Saturday, May 11

First Choice Pregnancy Resource Center will be having their 12th annual Walk for Life celebrating mothers, families, and life on May 11th, 2019 The 6k fun run/walk takes place around beautiful Lake Wazeecha in Wisconsin Rapids. Registration and check-in will begin at 9:00 am at the Shelter House in South Wood County Park, and the Walk will begin at 10:00 am. Proceeds from this year’s event will fund the continually growing Hands On Parenting Education (HOPE) program provided free of cost to individuals, parents, and caregivers. Educational materials and compassionate support are provided throughout the duration of pregnancy, birth, and beyond! If you would like to walk with a group of people from church, these are some things you might like to know:
1) Since this is a fundraising project for First Choice, there is a cost of $50 per person to register to be part of the team. You may raise the money by asking people to support you with a donation or you may pay it yourself.
2) You can call First Choice Pregnancy Resource Center at 715-345-0280 to register or you can register at www.firstchoiceprc.org.
3) When you register say that you would like to be part of the team for Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Our team name is “Apple of His Eye” and our captain is Betty Ninneman.
4) If you register, I’m sure that Betty would like to meet you and know that you are part of the team. So put a note in her mailbox or talk to her after church service if you register for the walk.
